2021 NFL Draft Profile: Virginia, Thomas Jefferson ILB Zane Zandier

Thomas Jefferson alum Zane Zandier was a three-year starter at Virginia as an inside linebacker. He appeared in 12 games as a true freshman and made 32 career starts with the Cavaliers. Zandier was an All-ACC honorable mention pick in 2019 and 2020. He recorded 253 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, a forced fumble and an interception in his career at Virginia.  Zandier has good speed for a linebacker and yet isn’t undersized, a promising combination for potential development.

Draft Projection

Zandier is projected to go undrafted and will most likely have to earn a roster spot in training camp as a free agent. His current draft ranking is 572 on NFL Mock Draft Database
