Sights and Sounds from Pitt Practice: Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers and Tight Ends

Published

on

With two of Pitt’s biggest offensive weapons, wide receiver Jordan Addison and running back Israel Abanikanda likely to miss time due to concussions, the Panthers other players will need to step up.

Head coach Pat Narduzzi said during his Monday press conference that there is a possibility one or both players could return, but he didn’t seem optimistic.

“[They’re] real questionable for this weekend, unfortunately. We’ll see,” Narduzzi said. “I mean, you can’t ever project what’s going to happen, but we’re going to protect our kids.”

Receivers like junior Jared Wayne and graduate transfer Melquise Stovall have played well in limited reps this season, as has tight end Gavin Bartholomew. All three could get a bigger share of targets if Addison and Abanikanda can’t play.

Come to see the Panthers quarterbacks throw to their offensive weapons, stay to see Narduzzi make another blocking pad tackle.
