It seems like pitt never gets good linebacker recruits. hopefully that changes with this kid, although it’s hard to think he is going to leave the state of Michigan.

This ain’t gonna happen. Pitt is his 4th choice …tops. Sam Hartman to ND.. what happened to Kenny Minchey? Lloyd Carrs kid is next up after Sam leaves. 5 star recruit. Kenny should have stayed at Pitt. Maybe see him come back in a few years.

Hartman has one year left. Minchey will learn (unless he wins the job, which is tough for a true freshman) and take over the following year.

Correct me if I’m wrong but you seemed to be a Minchey doubter when he was a PITT recruit. Now you have him “taking over” at ND in perhaps a short time. That’s curious.

I wasn’t a Minchey doubter as far as his skill set. My previous posts (quite some time ago and were proven correct) reflected my belief he would never honor his commitment to pitt when his stock blew up. It was a “safety school”. 100% correct.

Bring in an experienced QB for one year while the young guy learns the offense before taking over. What a novel idea…wish Narduzzi would have thought of that.

Penn State has a 5* and two 4* in the room right now, top QB recruit in 2021. PSU is fine at the QB position

It’s a good thing to have hope, but deep down in your pitt soul you do know they have zero shot right?

Wow – looks like Kenny Minchey got sold a bag of goods. He, and his family, cannot be pleased with Notre Dame now. Thanks to NIL and especially the lack of accountability and enforcement by the NCAA, these poor kids are being exploited by coaches who really don’t give a flying F about maximizing a recruits future. Minchey may indeed be back knocking on Pitt’s door next year. “But perhaps more importantly, Hartman would provide a stopgap before Notre Dame adds blue-chip quarterback CJ Carr — the grandson of legendary former Michigan coach Lloyd Carr and No. 5 quarterback in… Read more »

Or he could play 4 years at one of the biggest, if not biggest brands in college football. Touchdown Jesus, rabid fan base, celebrities in south bend and an awesome degree with unlimited alumni network….yes his parents are probably pissed.

Steve Beuerlein, Tony Rice and Rick Mirer also might have something to say.

Everything you mention means near nothing to a top-11 nationally ranked QB who desires to make the NFL if he’s set to sit the pine for his 4-years. You really are an arrogant douche bag.

everyone desires to make it to the NFL but few do. If I’m a douche for thinking academics and alumni base then so be it….and words hurt.
