McLeod is a three-star recruit according to 247Sports and a four-star recruit according to Rivals. Both sites ranked him as the eighth best player in Pennsylvania, while 247Sports ranked him at No. 27 for his position and Rivals ranked him at No. 20. 247Sports placed McLeod at No. 318 in the country, while Rivals put him at No. 200.

He plays for Cheltenham High School in Wyncote, Pa. just outside of Philadelphia and led his team with 87 carries for 936 yards and six touchdowns in 2022.

The other six schools that McLeod put in his top eight are also all in the Power 5 conferences. Nebraska and Maryland are two Big Ten schools, Texas A&M and Ole Miss hail from the SEC, Cincinnati plays in the Big 12 starting in 2023 and Syracuse is another ACC school joining Pitt for his commitment.

Schools that fell out of his favor are two MAC teams in Buffalo and Bowling Green, Boston College of the ACC and West Virginia of the Big 12.

The Panthers currently have two players in their Class of 2024. Three-star defensive lineman Jahsear Washington, who plays for Imhotep Charter in Philadelphia committed in April, while four-star wide receiver Ric’Darius Farmer out of Florida committed on Christmas Day.

With star running back, junior Israel Abanikanda announcing his decision to enter the 2023 NFL Draft, Pitt will look to expand their efforts to ensuring that the program has elite running backs for years to come. If they sign McLeod, it looks like Pitt will continue to have an effective rushing attack.

Another meaningless social media post.

This will change 5 more times.

He will commit, change his mind, de commit, commit, transfer, on and on.

College football has become so annoying and exhausting with all the Prima Donnas and egos.

Where have all the blue-collar athletes gone?

Half of these guys will be working fast food soon.

agreed….NCAA should let you commit anytime in a certain window but that commitment should come with signing a LOI for at least a year (unless the head coach leaves prior to arrival on campus). College football is absolutely crazy right now and basketball is right behind
