Last season for Pepperdine, Mitchell played in 31 games and averaged 11.4 points, 5.0 assists, 4.1 rebounds, while playing 33 minutes per game. As a freshman, he put up similar numbers, averaging 9.1 points, 4.9 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game. In two seasons at Pepperdine, Mitchell was a 45% shooter from the field and a 42% shooter from beyond the 3-point arc.

Duquesne's 2024 March Madness Tournament coverage is sponsored by Leon's Billiards & More, Moon Golf Club and Archie's on Carson! Their contributions have allowed us to cover the Dukes run in Omaha, Nebraska. We appreciate their support!

Duquesne would be looking at Michell as a replacement for Tevin Brewer in their starting lineup.

Considering he’s from California, it would appear that Duquesne would have to do a lot of work and be competitive with NIL opportunities for Mitchell, but PSN has learned that the Duquesne staff has a good relationship with Mitchell’s AAU coaches, so that could be a factor in Duquesne’s favor.
