Pitt Reveals Jersey Number for Grad Transfer Guard Mike Hueitt Jr.

Pitt guard Mike Hueitt Jr. will wear No. 8 this season according to an update to the team’s official roster.

Hueitt, a graduate transfer guard, has played for Catawba College (D2), UNC Greensboro (D1), and Old Dominion (D1) in his collegiate career. He is listed at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds on the Pitt roster. A native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Hueitt committed to Pitt late last week after taking a visit to campus. 

Hueitt played 16 games for Catawba in 2021-22 before missing the 2022-23 season due to injury. There, he averaged 8.19 points per game on 35% from the field. He also hit 33% of his three-point field goal tries that season, averaging 1.81 threes per matchup.

In the 2019-20 season, Hueitt scored 5.8 points per game in 30 games for a 23-9 UNCG squad. He hit 36% of his three-point attempts that season.

What a joke. 3rd article on a glorified walk on. 35% from the field as a Senior in D-2. Gotta be Coach Nepo’s nephew lol.

George is a great writer and provides great some of the best insight into the PITT basketball program.
And Hueitt is a welcome addition to the PITT basketball program.

Honestly, why do you feel the need to come on here and post stuff like this? It’s truly sad. You never know what some of these kids are going through and they don’t deserve the amount of hate you spew at them behind the safety of your computer screen.
