PITTSBURGH — Pitt was without Branson Taylor last week at Notre Dame, but the starting left tackle is dressed and healthy this week.
Taylor, who did not travel to South Bend, Ind. last week, dressed and took first-team warmups with the offensive line just before kickoff against No. 4 Florida State.
Taylor leads Pitt with 405 snaps this season, despite missing a game, and he’s worked extensively at left and right tackle. Terrence Enos Jr. filled in admirably on the offensive line against the Fighting Irish, but Taylor has been one of the most consistent linemen on the roster this season.
Enos made his first career start last week against Notre Dame, faring well against a highly talented Fighting Irish front seven, but the line as a unit did not do well in stopping pressure from reaching Christian Veilleux.
Terrence Moore remains locked in at center. Jake Kradel — after retaking a spot in the starting lineup last week — and BJ Williams will once again slot into the starting lineup at left guard and right guard, respectively.
So, it’s a pretty consistent offensive line that goes Taylor-Kradel-Moore-Williams-Baer.
Blake Zubovic, who played sparingly last week against the Irish, is once again dressed. And Enos could see time at tackle, too. It’s a chance to bounce back after a tough performance against the Irish last week, but that’s kind of been the story of the season for the Pitt offensive line.
