Daily Check on Both the Updated NET Rankings and the Ken Pom Ratings; Games to Watch Today

Thursday night was a light schedule in terms of ‘Bubble Teams’ but a couple of the teams that were in action impacted their chance for a tournament bid.

A couple of those results helped Pitt, while another one did not.

Bubble Teams Results from Thursday Night:
-Colorado beats Oregon, 79-75. Both teams are Bubble Teams, but Pitt likely wanted Colorado to lose.

-Washington beats Washington State. I’m not sure that Washington State is a bubble team BUT if they are, this loss doesn’t help, especially if they slip up early in the PAC 12 Tournament.

-Utah loses to Oregon State, who came into the game with a record of 12-17. This is a really bad loss for Utah.

Tournament season is in full swing along with other teams finishing up their regular season schedules before starting tournament action next week. Here are some ‘Bubble Games’ to keep an eye on today.

-Missouri State vs. Indiana State, 1 PM.
-Evansville vs. Drake, 7 PM.
-Boise State vs. San Diego State, 10 PM.

So, as we start the weekend, here’s the updated look at the Ken Pom Ratings along with the NET Rankings.

Some of the teams that will earn automatic bids just because they win their garbage conference should never be chosen over a team that plays against superior competition. This tournament system just caters to television ratings. It’s nonsensical.
