Pitt Hosting 2025 Texas WR for Official Visit in June

Pitt has a type when it comes to the playmakers being invited to town for official visits, and Antoine Martin Jr. isn’t too far off that prototype.
New offensive coordinator Kade Bell clearly values smaller, faster wideouts in his system. Martin — a 6-foot-1, 175-pound wide receiver from Iowa Colony in Fresno, Tx. — isn’t exactly small, but he does have the skillset that Bell values.
So, Martin will be coming to Pittsburgh. He told Pittsburgh Sports Now that he will be making an official visit to Pitt from June 6-8.
He holds offers from Arkansas State, Louisiana-Monroe, Memphis, Pitt, San Diego State, Texas State, Texas Tech and UTEP.
Pitt jumped into the fray for Martin not long ago, with Randy Bates extending an offer as he made his way through the Lone Star State in January, and the relationship has continued to progress over the last couple of months. It’s progressed far enough to earn an official visit over the summer.
Martin hasn’t received a ton of interest from his home state, just Texas State, Texas Tech and UTEP, but he’s certainly caught the eye of coaches outside the area.
The Pitt coaching staff noticed how Martin served as a top target for Iowa Colony. He hauled in 27 receptions for 529 yards (19.6 yards per reception) and nine touchdowns. And he added 151 yards on just eight returns (18.9 yards per return).
Martin isn’t rated by any of the major recruiting services (247Sports, Rivals or On3), but he’s a talented wide receiver who should see a spike in his recruiting profile over the next couple of months.
It does not appear that he’s been on campus over the last few months, but Martin is the type of playmaker that the Pitt coaching staff has prioritized over the last few months.
