Saturday’s Best Draftkings Bets: Orioles-Pirates, NC-State-Purdue, Alabama-UConn
A solid day for the Winning Picks on Friday finishing 2-1. They under was able to cover on a cold home opener for the Pirates. The Rangers were able to help the Penguins out by beating the Red Wings in Detroit. Iowa was able to survive and advance versus UConn but was not able to cover in the end. We moved to 236-181-3, 56% on the year.
With the Final Four happening today, we only have room for one Pittsburgh team in the Winning Picks. Sorry Penguins, but I do have some thoughts on that. They are 5-0-2 over the last five games and have crept back into the final Wild Card picture. Alex Nedeljkovic getting hot has been the best thing to happen to the Pens all season. I believe Tristan Jarry could be moved this offseason as he continues to struggle in crucial parts of the year. As for today, I believe the Penguins beat the Lightning and move one step closer to the final spot in the playoffs.
We also have football tonight in St. Louis as the Battlehawks face the Arlington Renegades in Week 2 of the UFL. The Battlehawks lost on a last second 64-yard field goal to the Michigan Panthers in Week 1. In a matchup of XFL and USFL defending champions, the Renegades lost by two scores to the Birmington Stallions. With this game expected to be close to a sell out, I believe St. Louis will cover.

At least it won’t be snowing at PNC Park today as the Orioles and Pirates play Game 2 of their series today. Jared Jones pitched well despite surrendering two home runs. He gives me AJ Burnett vibes and that is exacting what the Bucs need in their rotation. As for today’s starter for the Pirates, myself and fans alike don’t think very highly of.
It is what is for Bailey Falter. He just isn’t a good starting pitcher. As like former Pirate Oliver Perez, going to the bullpen might be the idea for his career. Orioles starter Tyler Wells is slightly better, but I believe the Pirates will have success against him. Lots of runs today at PNC Park as the over covers.

I never understood why Paramount ever agreed to move Final Four and National Championship games off of CBS and allow it to go to TBS. Such a dumb move. Anyway, NC State has willed their way to a Final Four matchup with Purdue. The Wolfpack have been on a 9-game winning streak. Their last loss? The Pitt Panthers. Another reason why the Panthers should’ve made the tournament.
Zach Edey vs DJ Burns Jr is the most anticipated big man matchup since Zion Williamson and Tacko Fall went toe-to-toe in 2018. The Wolfpack have scratched and clawed their way through this run and have taken every inch their opponents have given them. While I think their run will end today, I believe this will end up being a one possession game with NC State having a chance to win.

After plane troubles delayed UConn getting to Phoenix, curious fans and insiders rushed to see if the lack of sleep for the Huskies in their Final Four matchup with the Crimson Tide. How this could actually affect UConn remains to be seen. They haven’t had any problems with any team this tournament winning each game by 15+ points.
Nate Oats was a former assistant for Danny Hurley’s brother Bobby at Buffalo before taking over at Arizona St, who happens to be hosting the Final Four this year. The familiarity with the Hurley style should Alabama keep this game close and low scoring. And given they are playing in a dome; you won’t see the high scoring game you might be expecting. I like the under in this game.
