Tuesday’s Best Draftkings Bets: Angels-Pirates, Hurricanes-Rangers, Mavericks-Thunder
A solid day for the Winning Picks on Monday night finishing 2-1. The Pirates were able to win as the under covered. Another great game at MSG as the over covered in Pacers/Knicks. Florida could not get it done as Boston prevailed in Game 1. We moved to 275-229-3 on the year.
Speaking of not getting it done, what has happened to the defending NBA championship Denver Nuggets? I did highlight last week that the Minnesota Timberwolves did have some value on them as underdogs to win the series. But I didn’t expect anything close to this happening.
The Timberwolves have completely emasculated the Nuggets. They are hounding them on the defensive end and Anthony Edwards has no fear on offense. Quite frankly, Minnesota has no fear. Now at +320 to win it all, they could be the team that represents the West in the NBA Finals. But can they beat a Celtics team that already has finals experience? If they hound them like they hound the Nuggets, anything is possible.

I will be attending my second Pirates game of the year tonight. Things seem to be a lot better for the Pirates now than they were when I saw them on a Friday back in April. But one thing remains the same, Quinn Priester will be on the mound.
After his season debut, Priester actually hasn’t pitched that bad. Maybe he just had nerves in his first start of the year. Ideally, this Angels lineup is the perfect opponent for Priester to have success. I believe he will have some rough patches tonight, but he pitches well enough to get the win.

The Hurricanes look to get back on track after dropping Game 1 to the Rangers at MSG on Sunday. What a spring for the folks over at Madison Square Garden. It is like 1994 all over again. With this rapid atmosphere, can Carolina take one game to get the series back to even before they head back to Raleigh?
I truly believe the Hurricanes were a bit shell shocked by the Rangers in Game 1. It happens to the best of teams, especially with the level Ranger fans have been on all playoffs. I do think Carolina gets one back tonight and they win at MSG.

Two young teams on the rise start their series in the second round of the playoffs as the Oklahoma City Thunder host the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of their series. In my opinion, this series could go either way. The question is, which one is hungrier to advance to the next round?
I believe we are going to have some fireworks in Game 1 with two very highly efficient shooting teams going head-to-head. This game could come down to a Shai Gilgeous-Alexander or a Luka Dončić final shot. Either way, I like the over to cover in OKC.
