Although Pitt lost Blake Hinson to the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers, the Panthers still expect to be a strong shooting team this upcoming season.

The Panthers added European sharpshooter Amsal Delalic, who hit 82 threes last year, to the roster. In addition, Pitt grabbed Damian Dunn, who hit 48 threes just two seasons ago at Temple, from the transfer portal. The Panthers also return several solid shooters from last season’s squad: Jaland Lowe, Ishmael Leggett, Zack Austin, and the Diaz-Graham twins.

Earlier this week, the team’s social media channels shared some recent shooting highlights from its summer workouts.

Check out the highlights below. Swipe to the right to view each video in the Instagram chain.

The videos featured Cam Corhen hitting a three on the right wing off a Jaland Lowe pass, Damian Dunn hitting a pull-up three off the dribble, Guillermo Diaz Graham hitting a three off an Ishmael Leggett assist, Amsal Delalic draining a catch-and-shoot three on the left wing, Zack Austin knocking down a three from a Corhen dish, Marlon Barnes Jr. hitting a three off a Dunn assist, Leggett hitting a pull-up three, and Brandin “Beebah” Cummings stepping into a three off the dribble.

Pitt went 317-887 (35.7%) from three-point range last year. The Panthers attempted 9.6 threes per game on average. Hinson had an historic year from beyond the arch, hitting 42% of his deep balls. He set a program record with 110 threes a season ago. In addition to Hinson, Carrington hit 65 threes (32%), Leggett hit 35 (34%), Diaz Graham hit 32 (41%), Lowe hit 31 (35%), and Austin hit 28 (30%).
