Last year: Davis’ season was cut short due to a knee injury after just two games, in which he made is first career starts.
Stats: The Richmond, Va. native had seven tackles and half a tackle for loss in those two games in 2020. He missed the chance to build on an impressive campaign on special teams in 2019. Davis both blocked a punt and returned a blocked punt for a touchdown in a span of two weeks.
Camp outlook: Davis is healed and ready to go for 2021, and he proved that in the Blue-Gold game, racking up four tackles and a sack.
Projected role: With Chase Pine returning to the Panthers, Davis will likely see action backing him up at middle linebacker. Pine stepped in as the starting MIKE linebacker when Davis went down last season.
