All 105 is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series profiling each of the 105 members of Pitt’s 2021 training camp roster.
7 • Lucas Krull, redshirt senior tight end
Last Year: Krull, a 6-foot-6, 260 pound tight end, transferred to Pitt as a graduate from the University of Florida. He played in one game in 2020 due to injury.
Stats: Originally a pitcher for Jefferson College in Missouri, Krull has 10 catches for 114 yards in three years of Division I football.
Camp outlook: Krull looks to provide much needed stability at the tight end position, a weak spot for the Panthers in recent years. His blend of height and speed makes him an enticing prospect for the Panthers, and reports out of training camp suggest a breakout season following his injury-filled 2020 season.
Projected role: Krull will start in the Panthers offense in 2021.
Accolades, highlights: In addition to playing tight end, Krull completed two passes for 19 yards as a Gator, making him a threat on trick plays.
