The official start of Pitt football training camp is less than two days away and guarded optimism surrounds this 2021 team.
The national experts are predicting the Panthers to finish in the top half of the Coastal Division of the ACC and finishing behind both Miami (Fla.) and North Carolina. The final record of this team could be predicated on how they start out the season due to a non-conference schedule that feature home games against UMass, Western Michigan and New Hampshire, along with a trip to Tennessee.
Pat Narduzzi has plenty of things to feel optimistic about like the return of senior quarterback Kenny Pickett, a deep and talented wide receiver depth chart, a strong defense from front to back and as much team depth as he’s had since arriving at Pitt.
As camp is about to to start, our PSN Poll Question is what do you believe is the most interesting storyline for the Pitt 2021 season?

Starts and ends with the quarterback.
That’s the scary part after 4 years at QB Pickett still is inconsistent
it is unrealistic to believe a 5th year will change this. The first three games are no walk in the park because we know Whipple and Pickett throw the ball 40 times each game to build his statistics up and this is, as in years past, a ticket to disaster. They should run 30 or more times in these cames to bring back Pitt’s offensive juggernaut until Pickett and Whipple took over and if Pitt scored more than 21 points it was because of the defense
If Pickett only throws 13 TDs again then they’d have been better off letting a young guy start getting experience. There can be zero excuses for Pickett not stepping up this year.
None of the above. The only story that matters is if they can finally crack the nine win threshold.
The biggest story line for this team is the offensive line. They have enough talent elsewhere to be a really good team, if the offensive line can be solid then I see great things for this team but if Pitt has a bad offensive line then I see them at the bottom of the coastal.
Can you just give us our tickets for the Birmingham Bowl and save us the high blood pressure?
