Saturdays’s Best MGM Sportsbook Bets: Ohio St-Michigan, PAC12, Maple Leafs-Penguins

Richie Rich's Winning Picks.

We hit a snag yesterday as we went 1-2 with only Penn St covering the spread. Our Under in Dolphins/Jets was ruined by a defensive touchdown by each team. As it stands, we are 14-13.

Though I am not going to give out a local college football game in my picks today, I will give out some leans for both the Pitt and Duquesne games. I feel both Pitt and Duquesne can stay within the number in their respective games. Duquesne is getting 18 points vs Youngstown St, so the Dukes could lose by 17 and still cover the spread. Though I was originally towards taking the Penguins, I’ll have another Penguin to pick from in a little bit, that number is way too high.

Also, look for Georgia and Alabama to roll in their rivalry games today against Georgia Tech and Auburn before the face off next week in Atlanta.

Now onto the picks!

Ohio St Buckeyes at Michigan Wolverines (-3) O/U 46 12:00 pm on Fox

This could be the biggest game in the history of this historic rivalry. With all that has happened leading up to their showdown in Ann Arbor, players on both sides are more than ready to leave it out on the field.

In my opinion, I believe Michigan has become a team of destiny after the allegations and Jim Harbaugh being suspended two separate times this season. The players and the program want to stick it to the NCAA and win it all. They need to get through the Buckeyes first.

While I believe Ohio St is a good team and has the best player on the field in Marvin Harrison Jr, Michigan has found a formula to finally beat the Buckeyes. After being beaten for what it seemed like 15 straight years, the Wolverines have won 2 straight games in the rivalry.

This will be the first time Michigan will be favored in this game in quite some time. Whether they are favored or an underdog, the Wolverines win over the Buckeyes and cover.

Arizona (-13) at Arizona St O/U 49.5 3:30 pm on ESPN

Arizona has been a wagon this year. Currently, the Wildcats are 8-3 overall this year and an incredible 9-2 ATS, though they are only 3-2 ATS as a favorite.

I normally don’t like taking the favorite on the road in a rivalry game, especially at this high of a number. However, this game could turn ugly fast for Arizona St and that goes back to 2020.

During the Covid year of 2020, Arizona St destroyed Arizona 70-7 in their rivalry showdown. Though there were only parents able to watch this game, this game was in Arizona at their home stadium. The Wildcats were finally able to pick up a win in the rivalry last year, I believe this year they will be looking to rack up as many points as possible.

Wildcats win in a blowout.

Toronto Maple Leafs (-120) at Pittsburgh Penguins O/U 6.5 7:00 pm on SportsNet Pittsburgh

My hockey hasn’t been too good this year. Just like the Pittsburgh Penguins, it has been up and down. The Pens have been a roller coaster for the last season and a half, they are either on a long winning streak or losing streak every other few weeks.

After blowing a 2-0 last night to Buffalo losing 3-2, the Penguins look to get back on track vs the Toronto Maple Leafs. One thing that has been consistent for the Pens has been the captain Sidney Crosby. At age 36, Crosby is having one of the best starts to a season he has had in recent memory.

Through 19 games, Crosby has 23 total points including 13 goals. He is seemingly scoring every night. And with this game being broadcasted on Hockey Night in Canada in his home country, Crosby will have some extra juice to score today.

Take Sidney Crosby to score.

Sidney Crosby Score +125, Toronto Maple Leafs 3 Pittsburgh Penguins 4
