Pitt Extends Offer to Dynamic Monmouth Transfer WR Dymere Miller

Bub Means was the top Pitt offensive weapon last season, one of the few Panthers who stretched the field vertically, but he’s taking his talents to the NFL. That ability will need to be replaced.

Tiquan Underwood is searching the transfer portal for that talent, and on Monday morning, he reached out and offered a player with a similar skill set. Monmouth wide receiver Dymere Miller, who was one of the most explosive and productive wide receivers in the country last season, is that target.

In 2023, Miller (6-foot, 180 pounds) finished the season with 90 catches for 1,293 yards — which led the nation — and nine touchdowns. He finished his Monmouth career with 168 catches for 2,387 yards (14.2 yards per reception) and 17 touchdowns.

It’s not a direct comparison as Means lined up primarily out wide as an X receiver and Miller is primarily a slot receiver, but the ability to stretch the field is there, nonetheless.

Miller, a native of Coatesville, Pa., entered the portal as a grad transfer and will have one season of eligibility remaining. Along with Pitt, Miller has also picked up offers from Texas Tech, East Carolina, Rutgers and FAU.

Since the conclusion of the season, Pitt has lost Means and Addison Copeland III, who decided to transfer. At this point, Konata Mumpfield, Kenny Johnson and Daejon Reynolds are the only receivers scheduled to return with legitimate college experience.

Zion Fowler-El, Israel Polk, Lamar Seymore, Jake McConnachie and Che Nwabuko will all be in the mix for increased playing time,
