Twitter Reaction To Pitt Basketball’s Surprisingly Close Win Over Canisius

When you enter a game as a 17.5-point favorite, you’re obviously not expected to lose.

But that’s why they play the game and Canisius gave Pitt everything they have and almost pulled the stunner.

The Panthers shot well for the entire game but struggled defensively.

But thanks to excellent three-point shooting and Blake Hinson, Pitt squeaked out their 7th win.

This is especially for Carrington. I don’t buy the critique that he doesn’t have a good enough first step / explosiveness to get downhill. I generally think he does. Would like to see him be aggressive and go to the rack. Draw some fouls.

Jorge Diaz Graham and Federiko have been excellent in this second half after getting benched to start the period. JDG doing good things as a scorer, Federiko looks like his old self on the glass and both defending well in this zone look that has given Canisius hell tonight. #Pitt
