Friday’s Best Draftkings Bets: Rangers-Capitals, Clippers-Mavericks, Pirates-Giants
No matter what we do, the Winning Picks can’t shake the 1-2 bug. The over was able to cover with ease in Knicks/76ers. Tampa could not get a win in the series as they fell to Florida to go down 3-0. Same case with the Islanders, as they lost to Hurricanes to put them on the breaking point of elimination. We moved to 261-210-3 on the year.
We have been very playoff heavy with the Winning Picks over the last week and rightfully so, but we still can’t forget about the UFL. Well, maybe you have but I am still paying a close eye on the action of the new league even if it is from a score bug point of view. And as I hammered down for months, the Birmingham Stallions are the top team in the new league.
I wrote multiple times that you need to take the Stallions at +300 to win the UFL. As of right now, they are down to +130 to win the league and are undefeated at 4-0 despite not settling on a true starting QB. But the St. Louis Battlehawks of the former XFL are right on their tails. The Battlehawks are +200 to win the UFL at this moment and are 3-1 on the year. It should be noted that the UFL Championship will be played in St. Louis. It looks like a collision course between the Stallions and Battlehawks in that game, which will be a hedge opportunity if you have a Birmingham future.

As with the Lightning and the Islanders last night, the Capitals enter Game 3 versus the Rangers looking for their first win in the series. Washington played well in Game 2 but New York was able to hold off their late charge in the third period. Can the Caps avoid falling behind 3-0 tonight?
While I am not exactly picking the Capitals to win tonight, I do like the over in this game. The Rangers have scored at least 4 goals in each game of this series and you know the Caps are going to come out hot and heavy with this potentially being Alexander Ovechkin’s last playoff opportunity. Look for a lot of goals tonight in DC.

The Clippers were very happy to win Game 1 of this series without Kawhi Leonard. They were even more happy to have Kawhi back for Game 2, but unfortunately the Clips lost to the Mavericks in a close game. As this series heads back to Dallas, who really has an edge?
Through the first two games of this series, Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving have combined to score at least half of the Mavs points. If they go, the Mavericks go. If the Clippers can find a way to limit one of them, they should be able to win this series. With tonight’s game, I like the Clips to cover in a very close game. They may not win, but they will cover.

The Pirates will make their first trip out west this year and their first road game against a non-NL East opponent as they face the Giants in San Francisco. Quinn Priester will once again start for the Buccos. I am not sure what is more concerning right now in the Bay Area: the crazy homelessness or Priester’s pitching. I think a homeless individual could probably get a hit off Priester at this point.
The Giants aren’t sending their best to the mound tonight either. Kyle Harrison has given up 15 runs over 27 innings in 5 starts so far this season. I am expecting a lot of offense tonight in this game and the over to easily cover on a cool night in the Bay Area. McCovey Cove will be a busy place tonight with all the baseball landing in it.
