Caprara Named Wuerffel Semifinalist

Published

Pitt senior linebacker Mike Caprara has been recognized by college football for all the positive things he’s doing on and off the field.

Caprara was named a semifinalist for the Wuerffel Trophy which is awarded to a student athlete for his work in the classroom, in the community and on the field.

To show you the type of things Caprara has done, the Woodland Hills graduate has gone to Haiti in order to make mission trips to orphanages, regularly visits Children’s Hospital, reads to kids at local elementary schools, gathers food for the “Blessings in a Backpack” initiative and is a part of the “Orange Arrow” mentoring program.

Caprara has already graduated from Pitt and is currently enrolled in Pitt’s Katz School of Business.

Finalists for this award will be revealed on November 23 and the winner will be announced on December 6th.
