PITTSBURGH — The regular signing period for the college basketball Class of 2019 opened on Wednesday, and Duquesne coach Keith Dambrot has letters of intent from two late-in-class additions to his backcourt.

The Dukes entered this spring with Kennedy Catholic guard Maceo Austin already in the fold, and after a few departures, Dambrot secured the services of 6-foot-5 New Jersey wing Ashton Miller and 6-foot Virginia point guard Evan Buckley.

The trio off Austin, Miller and Buckley will offset the losses of Brandon Wade and Eric Williams, Jr. to transfer.

In the post, the Dukes will be going forward without Gavin Bizeau and Dylan Swingle, as well as starting the 2019-20 season without Amari Kelly and Austin Rotroff, who are recovering from ACL surgeries.
