All 105 is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series profiling each of the 105 members of Pitt’s 2019 training camp roster.
5 • Tre Tipton, redshirt senior wide receiver
Last year: Played in all 14 games for the Panthers and made two starts after returning from a horrific offseason knee injury that caused him to miss the entire 2017 season.
Stats: Made five catches for 42 yards as Pitt’s passing offense sputtered down the stretch.
Accolades, Highlights:
🗣️ "Today was a special moment!"
Healthy-again WR Tre Tipton was thrilled to be practicing in pads again with his teammates.#H2Ppic.twitter.com/yOO3c7fuaD
Camp outlook: In a new passing offense, Pitt’s slot receivers such as Tipton and Maurice Ffench should have a much larger opportunity than they did in 2018.
Projected role: Tipton is probably in line to start or at least share time at receiver.
