Before making the biggest decision of his life to this point, Derrick Davis will attempt to cover all the bases.
Gateway 2021 four-star safety/running back Derrick Davis will make one and possibly two visits before announcing his college decision on Nov. 7.
Davis told Pittsburgh Sports Now that he will make a visit to the University of Georgia this coming weekend. Kirby Smart’s football program is one of five finalists for the Gateway star athlete, along with Pitt, Penn State, Ohio State and LSU.
Along with the trip to Georgia, Davis told PSN that “hopefully, I get to take a trip to Baton Rouge.”
That is important to Davis since he’s never been to the campuses of Georgia and LSU but has been to Pitt, Penn State and Ohio State.
Though in-person recruiting has been shut down by the NCAA, prospective players are still permitted to travel to campus on their own to visit as any other prospective student would do.
Davis is rated by both 247 Sports and Rivals as a Top 100 national recruit and is the WPIAL’s most heavily recruited player in his class.
Davis will be making his college announcement on Nov. 7 at around 5 p.m.
He’s penn state bound
Gateway guys all end up at the State Penn.
