A day after making the cut for New Jersey 2022 3-star running back Sam Martin Jr., Pitt is named as a finalist for an elite four-star recruit.

Class of 2022 four-star wide receiver Amarion Brown (Martin County High School in Stuart, Florida) has released a top six schools, which includes Pitt. This comes after Brown made his initial cutdown to a top ten.

Brown (6-foot-3, 175 pounds) has now announced that his top six schools are Pitt, Rutgers, Florida, Oregon, Virginia Tech and Mississippi State. Some programs that have offered Brown but no longer are in consideration are Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami (Fla.), Nebraska, Penn State, South Carolina, Texas, Texas A&M and West Virginia.

Pitt has been recruiting Brown for well over a year and officially extended him an offer back in September of 2020.

Brown is rated by 247 Sports as one of the Top 30 juniors in Florida and one of the Top 35 receivers in the Class of 2022. Last season, Brown finished with 837 receiving yards, over 1,200 all-purpose yards and 11 touchdowns.
