One of the top offensive lineman in the Class of 2022 has included Pitt in his Top Ten.

4-star offensive tackle Jacob Allen from the Hun School in Princeton, New Jersey had over 30 offers and narrowed it down to ten schools: Pitt, Boston College, Duke, Florida, Miami, Michigan State, Penn State, Rutgers, South Carolina and Virginia. Some of the bigger schools that didn’t make the cut include Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M and West Virginia.

Rivals rates Allen as the #1 junior prospect in New Jersey, one of the Top 100 overall juniors and the 11th ranked offensive tackle.

Allen tells Rivals he’s developed a good relationship with Dave Borbely and talked about his friendship with current Pitt walk-on quarterback Logan Clouse.

The next step in Allen’s recruitment is to take more virtual visits before he cuts this list down even further.

We seem to have a bunch of “skilled” players committing to Pitt. I would like to see more effort in getting big guys like this to play O-line. A great O-line will make average RB’s look great.
