While many prospects familiar to Pitt fans showed out on the EYBL circuits, there was one more that definitely rose his stock over the past few weeks, and his name is Jalen Reed.

Reed is a 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward who plays his high school ball for Oak Hill Academy, where Pitt commit Judah Mintz transferred to this offseason and will be playing this year. Five days ago, Reed held offers from schools such as Georgia State, Cal State Bakersfield, and Georgia Southern. However, shortly after, wrapping up his AAU career with ProSkills, his recruitment moved up into high-major status.

In the last week, Reed picked up offers from Pitt, Houston, Florida, South Carolina, Xavier, and DePaul. All of these offers come after Reed averaged 12.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per game while shooting 48% from the field in recent EYBL play down in South Carolina. He hit 34 of his 50 free throws (68%) as well as five of his 14 three-point attempts (36%) over the 12-game stand.
