PITTSBURGH — It wouldn’t be a Pitt football season without some adversity, and the Pitt squad certainly encountered that on Saturday, losing 44-41 as more than two touchdown favorites to Western Michigan at Heinz Field.
“We’ll see how tough we are,” quarterback Kenny Pickett. “When things are smooth sailing, it’s easy. Now we have a loss that we should have won. Hats off to Western Michigan. They played well and they came in ready. We knew they would. We’ll see what we’re about.”
Hear more from Pickett and linebacker SirVocea Dennis after the loss to the Broncos:
Thanks Mike. Happy to hear it. If we lost our sense of humor we’d all be pulling our hair out after an embarrassment like we witnessed on Saturday. 👍

That performance by Pitt on Saturday was sloppier than Dave Borbely’s eyebrows.

Not a word about the stellar offensive line play by Western Michigan. Except for a limited few times, they stuffed the D line.
Would like to see a penalty for using offensive linemen to push a ball carrier for forward progress. In the second half, WMU pulled a lineman except he followed the ball carrier into the hole. The result was a running touchdown.
We are not the only favored team to say: shoulda, coulda, woulda.
Lock the gates. Make sure Narduzzi isn’t allowed back on the property.
That’s a good one Jeff. Actually got a laugh out out from me.
