Duquesne Men’s Basketball Picked A-10 Preseason 11th

Published

on

The Duquesne Men’s Basketball Team was predicted to place 11th in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll as voted by all 14 head coaches and 14 media members, one from each school.

This is the second time that Duquesne has been picked preseason #11 since Keith Dambrot has coached the program.

St. Bonaventure, which won the Atlantic 10 Championship last year, received all 28 first-place votes. Richmond followed in second place, with Saint Louis, VCU and Dayton rounding out the top five.

Given Duquesne is not returning much of its scoring and defensive statistical leaders, it was determined that no Dukes players made a preseason all-conference team

Coach Dambrot and the Dukes are going to surprise people. . . this team is more athletic, has better shooters, and a restocked guard position than in recent memory. If these guys listen to Keith and play together, they’ll finish in the top 5 of A10.
