It feels like Pitt has been connected with Trever Jackson for a long, long time, but the coaching staff has only been recruiting the four-star quarterback for a little over a year.
Jackson has grown into a top-rated prospect in the class (as well as on Pitt’s recruiting board) as the coaching staff looks to bring in their quarterback for the class of 2024.

Ryan Wright, the National Recruiting Director for Recruiting News Guru, had an interesting article today with some updated news on Jackson.
Here are the highlights:
*Teams that have offered and are actively recruiting Jackson are Pitt, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, UCLA, Texas A&M and Maryland.
*Jackson is trying to set up visits at the end of July to Maryland, Ole Miss and Oklahoma.
*Jackson told Wright, “I am trying to commit before the season starts. I was going to stop taking official visits, but I really don’t know now. Everything is going crazy right now. I don’t know if I should hold off or not.”
*If a commitment happens soon, Jackson says it would likely be the first or second week of August. But his birthday is Aug. 25, and he might hold out until then.
