This late in the recruiting calendar year, it’s not often do you see a player in that years recruiting class receive an offer from a Power Five program.
However, it does happen, and it took place on Friday with Pitt. Tiquan Underwood and the Panthers extended an offer to 2024 3-star wide receiver Donovan Hamilton.
Hamilton is a 6’4″, 200-pound wide out from Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, Indiana. Hamilton holds one other Power Five offer, which came from Kentucky and holds other D-1 offers from Western Michigan, Toledo, Ohio U., Miami OH, Eastern Michigan, Army and Ball State.
Hamilton had a monster first six games in which he caught 33 passes for 701 yards and 8 touchdowns. His biggest performance came against Zionsville, where caught collected 225 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Hamilton Southeastern head coach Michael Kelly described his star receiver as “a tough kid, he’s hard to defend, he’s never guarded. He goes up and makes plays.”
Currently, 3-star recruit Cameron Monteiro (Brockton, Massachusetts) is the only wide receiver in Pitt’s Class of 2024, after losing 4-star recruit Day Day Farmer.
