PITTSBURGH — Pitt football faces their toughest opponent yet in No. 4 Florida State on Saturday at Acrisure Stadium
Pitt offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti Jr. and redshirt freshman offensive lineman Ryan Baer spoke one what the team will need to do to pull off the big upset against FSU at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on Wednesday. Cignetti spoke on the development of redshirt sophomore quarterback Christian Veilleux and what the offense has to improve on to work more effectively. Baer talked about his first full season playing, working at both right tackle and left tackle and what he has learned from offensive linemen in redshirt senior Matt Goncalves and redshirt junior Branson Taylor.
Cignetti has already lost his team – and his job should be next. With the season now out the window, players aren’t going to play as hard for an inept coach. They’re not going to go all out for a guy who couldn’t manage the most important position in all of sports. This team is done, and Cignetti should be too.
No common sense Pitt fan wants to hear from or read about Frank Cignetti. Unless it is about him being fired. He never ever was a good coach.
