It appeared as though Pitt might actually be on the way to its third win of the season after a strong finish to the second half, but the New York City lights wound up being too bright.
Pitt collapsed in the second half against ‘Cuse, failing to capitalize on a 13-7 halftime lead and falling to the Orange at Yankee Stadium Saturday afternoon in embarrassing fashion. The Panthers fall to 2-8 (1-6 ACC) following the loss.
And, of course, Pitt fans were not shy to voice their opinions following the fourth consecutive Panthers loss.

They can’t ever get a good quarterback to develop. Yeah Pickett but it took him 5 years to blow up. Pitt did have a great recruit in Kenny Minchey but he saw enough of Cignetti and bolted for Notre Dame!
Disagree about Marion. But there are plenty of great coaches to choose from. Need a OC, OL, RB, WR. Also a new DC.

How can the defense NOT stop a team when you know they’re going to run it almost exclusively ?
The only reaction to this game should be that there are coaching changes coming soon. The season is over, there are very few if any bright spots, no reason to feel hopeful or excited for next season, the team has regressed as the season went on, and the staff doesn’t seem to know how to fix it. Any respectability that Pitt had is gone and they won’t see any for a very long time.
