Finishing with a record of 3-9 makes it very difficult to talk about the positives around the program, but the entire Pitt season wasn’t a total loss.
Sure, plenty of things went wrong. The season-long struggles with the quarterback position, the regression of the offensive line, the lack of reliable wide receivers for stretches of the season and the lack of impact on the defensive line — but once you sift through that, you can find some things that went right and reasons for optimism in 2024.
Believe it or not, I was able to come up with more than five but, here are my top five positives that came from the Pitt 2023 football season.
