Pitt guard Jaland Lowe has earned a conference-wide honor for his stellar play this past week.

On Monday, Lowe was named the ACC Rookie of the Week, just two days after scoring 17 points and hitting a dagger of a three against No. 7 Duke.

In his first game of the week, Lowe scored 20 points on 8-for-15 shooting and 1 for 2 from three-point range against Syracuse. He dished out three assists in the loss. Next, against Duke, he exploded for 17 points, hitting two of his five threes and six of his 16 shot attempts overall. He also dished out six assists and turned the ball over zero times. Lowe also had two steals in his performance against Duke.

Check out Lowe’s shot against the Blue Devils, that extended Pitt’s lead up to four with less than one minute to play.

The 6-foot-3 freshman is averaging 6.8 points per game and 2.6 assists per game this season after joining the Panthers this past summer. He is now averaging 13 points per game in the month of January, and has inserted himself into the Pitt starting lineup as of late.
