Pitt running backs coach Lindsey Lamar visited Class of 2025 Andrew Hines on Monday. Hines hails from St. Clould, Fla. and plays for Tohopekaliga High School in Kissimmee, a suburb of Orlando.

Hines committed to USF back on Jan. 27, the day he visited and received an offer from them, but Pitt is still in for the 6-foot-5, 265 pound defensive lineman. He also has offers from ACC schools in Boston College, NC State, Syracuse and Virginia Tech, Big Ten schools in Indiana, Maryland and Rutgers, Sun Belt schools in Appalachian State, James Madison and Marshall, along with Cincinnati, Notre Dame, LSU and FCS schools in Richmond, Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M.

Hines accrued 112 total tackles in 11 games last season, 17 solo, 23 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, 37 quarterback hurries, one pass defended and one fumble recovery.

Former tight ends coach Tim Salem offered him back in early December, so the new coaching staff will have to work hard if they want to land this talented defensive lineman.
