Twitter Reaction to Charlie Partridge Leaving Pitt

Published

on

Pitt defensive line coach Charlie Partridge.

A huge loss for the Pitt football program with the unexpected news that longtime defensive line coach Charlie Partridge is heading to the Indianapolis Colts.

It’s hard to properly describe how much this will impact the Pitt program both on and off the field.

There’s no doubt this shocking news is a result of the changing landscape of college football.

All we can say is wow.

Sorry to see such a legend depart our program. With that said, this is how it should be. He makes a major contribution to the program and to the young men he coached and mentored and is rewarded. His reward is an opportunity in the NFL. We can hope that our new coaches experience the same success with greater opportunities as well. This only means our program is headed forward.

Losing your best is moving forward in some parallel universe that I’ll never understand.

It’s the nature of the beast. NFL came calling. I’m surprised it took this long. H2P

Like so much else in today’s world college football has been transformed into yet another crapfest.

The movie “For A Few Dollars More” is going to be remade. Instead of being a western this time around the plot will focus on modern day college football recruiting.
