Pitt football will battle with some of the premiere programs when it comes to recruiting the top tight end in the state of Pennsylvania.
Class of 2025 four-star tight end Andrew Olesh announced on Tuesday that he is down to eight schools and that includes Pitt. Along with the Panthers, Olesh is considering Penn State, Michigan, Alabama, Florida, Missouri, Ole Miss and Florida State.

The 6-foot-5, 216-pound pass catcher garners a 92 overall ranking and slots in as the third-ranked tight end in the country according to On3.
Out of Southern Lehigh High School in Center Valley, Pa., Olesh caught 53 passes for 972 yards and 10 touchdowns this past fall.
After his junior season, Pitt extended an offer on December 1. Olesh visited the Panthers last June and also made a stop on February 3 of this year.
Olesh has also made numerous trips to State College to visit with the Nittany Lions as they are the predicted favorite to land the highly touted prospect.
Missouri is another school to keep an eye on after snatching the top-rated recruit from Pennsylvania back on April 4 in quarterback Matt Zollers.
Pitt currently holds two commitments in the class of 2025 with three-star defensive lineman Trevor Sommers (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and three-star quarterback Mason Heintschel (Oregon, Ohio).
