Florida 3-star wide receiver David Aboya becomes the latest player to schedule an official visit with the Pitt Panthers.

The native of Milton High School in Milton, Florida tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that he will be at Pitt from June 5-7. Aboya officially received his offer from the Pitt coaches on March 17th from offensive coordinator Kade Bell and wide receivers coach JJ Laster.

The thing that stands out most about Aboya compared to most of the other wide receivers on Pitt’s roster and that they’re currently recruiting is his size- 6’3″, 180-pounds.

Following his announcement to visit the Panthers, PSN caught up with Aboya to get some quick thoughts on the news and his current thoughts on the Pitt program.

“I decided to make an official visit because of the programs good reputation, cool coaching staff, and the team vibe and the coaches from the first time I talked to them,” said Aboya. “I am very blessed to have an offer from Pitt and I’ve had a good relationship with them since. The coaches were really positive and excited about my skills and how I could help the team. They talked about growth and opportunities.”

“On my visit, I’m excited to see the training, team dynamics and academic support. I also want to check out the campus and the community. I truly believe that they really want me as part of their program.”

Aboya received his first Power Four offer from Syracuse, but this is the first official visit that he’s scheduled.
