The first domino of the Kevin Stallings era has fallen and it results in 4-star guard Justice Kithcart opening up his recruitment.
This morning I spoke with Justice’s father, James, who gave an update on where things stand after speaking with Stallings this morning.
“Justice has asked for his release from Pitt decided to open up his recruitment after talking to Coach Stalling”, said Mr. Kithcart.
“Justice really likes Pitt but he wants to make sure they feel the same way.”
As I mentioned earlier, Stallings called Justice Kithcart this morning and spoke with him for the first time.
“Coach Stallings was great and he really likes Justice, but Justice wants Coach Stallings to recruit him to make sure it’s a great fit”, said Mr. Kithcart.
“Justice really liked the school, the academics, the fans and the facilities but what attracted him the most to Pitt was Coach Dixon and having the opportunity to compete and to start in the ACC.”
As we reported yesterday, Stallings offered a scholarship to another Virginia point guard Aaron Thompson.
Update (12:28 PM)-
Pitt PF commitment Corey Manigault also has decided to open up his recruitment .
Manigault told me, ” I just wanted to step back and re evaluate things, since things happened so fast.”
I then asked him if Pitt is still a possibility for him to which he replied, “Absolutely.”
