Wednesday Pitt Recruiting News

Published

on

Just wanted to point out that yesterday was another example of our long term commitment to provide you with the best Pitt/WPIAL sports/recruiting coverage. The addition of Alan Saunders strengthens our site and will provide you, the readers, with more Pitt content.

My partner, Joe Steigerwald and I are having discussions about other ways to improve PSN for the upcoming football season. Stay tuned.

UPDATE (11:47 AM)-

**One other observation in regards to LB Albert Tucker giving Pitt a verbal commitment yesterday. Tucker is now the 3rd linebacker commitment in this year’s class (Tucker, Cam Bright and Kyle Nunn). You have to start wondering how many more linebackers will Pat Narduzzi take this year?  My guess would be not many (barring a special situation).

UPDATE (12:11 PM)-

**Since becoming Pitt coach, Pat Narduzzi has made it pretty clear that he would like to transform Pitt into a “national” program. By that I mean, a program that will try and attract players from all over the country and not just recruit Pennsylvania.

Take a look at the different states Pitt has gotten players from over the last 2 years (2016 and 2017 Classes).

  • Pennsylvania- 9 recruits
  • Ohio – 8 recruits
  • Florida – 5 recruits
  • New Jersey – 4 recruits
  • Virginia – 2 recruits
  • New York – 2 recruits
  • Alabama – 1 recruit
  • Illinois – 1 recruit
  • North Carolina – 1 recruit
