Watch: Pitt’s Players, Coaches Shift Focus to Georgia Tech

PITTSBURGH — Pitt continued its practice week on Wednesday as the Panthers gear up for conference play with this Saturday’s 12:30 p.m. kickoff against Georgia Tech.

The Panthers did not start the week in high spirits after last Saturday’s let-down loss to rival Penn State, and this week, the biggest job will be turning the page and moving focus to Georgia Tech — something the Panthers have been unable to do, win or loss, following the Penn State game in each of the last two seasons.

Pitt lost, 45-38 at Oklahoma State following a win over the Lions at Heinz Field in 2016 and lost big to the Cowboys in 2017 after going down to the Lions in Happy Valley.

Their history against the Yellow Jackets is up-and-down, as well. The Panthers are 2-3 in the five games against Georgia Tech as conference opponents.

Here’s what linebackers coach Rob Harley, defensive tackle Shane Roy, wide receiver Rafael Araujo-Lopes and center Jimmy Morrissey had to say about closing the book on Penn State and looking ahead to Georgia Tech.
