It started with a cryptic Tweet from Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi, as he sent out his trademarked “Pitt Is It” tweet on Friday, May 3, signaling that the Panthers had landed a commitment.
But the tweet accompanied the typical hashtag and graphic signaling the class of the player that had committed.
That led to immediate speculation. Was the newest Panthers a member of the Class of 2020, where Pitt has three commits already? Could it have been an early commitment from a 2021 player? Or perhaps some type of transfer ready to make an impact in the 2019.
It looks like the answer might have been none of the above.
