All 105 is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series profiling each of the 105 members of Pitt’s 2019 training camp roster.
4 • Therran Coleman, redshirt junior defensive back
Last year: Played in all 14 games for Pitt, serving as a backup free safety and cornerback and playing on special teams.
Stats: Made eight tackles, had one interception, one forced fumble and one pass defensed.
Accolades, Highlights:
Made the game-winning interception against Syracuse in overtime.
Camp outlook: Coleman has played both Nickel corner and free safety in his career at Pitt, and he could play either in 2019. He could battle Damarri Mathis and Marquis Williams for the Nickel spot or back up Damar Hamlin at free safety.
Projected role: Will probably play a good bit as a veteran in Pitt’s secondary, but his role is still up in the air.
