2020 Forward Elijah Taylor Won’t Visit Pitt

A change of plans for a player that was high on Pitt’s 2020 recruiting board for forwards.

2020 Imhotep Charter (Philadelphia) forward Elijah Taylor was scheduled to make his official visit to Pitt this weekend but that won’t be happening.

Taylor tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that he canceled his plans to visit. While he didn’t give a reason, it’s believed that he’s close to announcing his college decision, possibly Notre Dame.

Last week, assistant coach Milan Brown made a trip to Philadelphia to visit Taylor and as we reported, his recruitment was down to Pitt, Notre Dame and Seton Hall.

Jeff Capel was recruiting both Taylor and 3-star forward Noah Collier (Westtown, Pennsylvania). He wasn’t going to take both so now the pressure increases to land Collier. Our sources tell us that Collier is likely to decide between Pitt and Clemson.

Hopefully this means they’re getting the commitment from Collier…

I don’t want anybody from Imhotep in either sport
