Pitt has already received commitments from two tight ends in this years recruiting class in Trey Anderson and Jake Renda.

After struggling the last couple of years to recruit that position, could Pitt look to add a third one to their Class of 2021?

3-star recruit River Helms (West Limestone High School in Lester, Alabama) will announce his college decision on October 15th and Pitt appears to be in the mix.

Helms received his offer from Tim Salem and the Panthers staff back in June and the two sides have remained in contact.

Aside from Pitt, Helms (6’4”, 220) also has received offers from programs such as Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Memphis, Missouri, Oklahoma State and Central Florida.

Despite having two tight that have committed, keep in mind that Anderson is a player that is position flexible and could eventually be moved to offensive tackle.

Helms has the skillset of someone that can line up on the line of scrimmage but that can also split out wide in the slot to take advantage of his size and speed.
