Pitt Opens as Two-Score Underdogs to Miami

Published

on

Pitt has opened as a 10.5-point underdogs for this Saturday’s road game at No. 13, according to BetOnline.ag.

The 3-2 Panthers have lost two straight games by one-point margins, losing to unranked NC State at home on Oct. 3 and at unranked Boston College on Saturday after starting their season 3-0.

Pitt is 0-3 against the spread, having lost outright as favorites over both the Eagles and Wolfpack. The Panthers’ three-point win against Louisville resulted in a push. Pitt did not cover 20.5 points against Syracuse and the opener against Austin Peay was taking off betting boards because the second half was played with just 10-minute quarters.

Miami is 3-1, owning wins over UAB, at Louisville and against Florida State before losing at No. 1 Clemson, 42-17 on Saturday.

The Hurricanes are also 3-1 against the spread, covering in all three victories, but failing to cover the 14-point margin of defeat against the Tigers.

Saturday’s game will be played on ACC Network with a noon kickoff. The Hurricanes and Miami Dolphins have been permitted to have 13,000 fans at Hard Rock Stadium for their games.

The longtime conference foes have met every season since 2013, with the Hurricanes holding a 5-2 advantage in ACC games between the teams. Miami leads the overall series 27-11-1, but the Hurricanes have won 20 of the 23 games since 1980.

Only 10.5? Take Miami big. 55-10 final and you can start yard work at the half.
