Duquesne Announces Venue Plan For 2020-21 Basketball Season

The Duquesne athletic department announced their plans for men’s and women’s basketball games for the months of December and January.

The UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse, the future home of Duquesne basketball, is still being renovated so for this month and in January, the Dukes will once again play home games at the La Roche University’s Kerr Fitness Center. The men’s and women’s teams played a combined 14 games in that building last season.

The school also announced that due to health and safety concerns related to COVID-19, games at La Roche will be played without fans through January. If fans are permitted in February and March, it will be only a small amount.

Here are the games that will be played at LaRoche for the Duquesne men’s and women’s team:

DUQUESNE MEN:
January 5: vs. Davidson
January 9: vs. Fordham
January 20 vs. Rhode Island
January 30 vs. Saint Joseph’s

DUQUESNE WOMEN:
December 11:  vs. St. Bonaventure
January 8: vs. VCU
January 10: vs. Richmond
January 15: vs. Saint Joseph’s
January 17: vs. La Salle
January 29: vs. Dayton
January 31: vs. Saint Louis
