Thanks to the efforts of the offensive line and running back Vincent Davis, Pitt finished their regular season with a 34-20 win over Georgia Tech. The Panthers finish the 2020 season with a record of 6-5 and will wait to see if they receive a bowl invite.
Despite the win, the thing that everyone is talking about is the awkward postgame “non-handshake” between Yellow Jackets head coach Geoff Collins and Pat Narduzzi. The cameras caught Collins pulling away from Narduzzi trying to shake his hand after a very competitive, emotional game.
During his postgame press conference, Collins denied being upset with Narduzzi or Pitt and said his focus was on getting with his team and going over to recognize the Georgia Tech band. That seems a bit far-fetched but that was his response to the incident.
This Collins guy seems like a little B. Crying all game and then chicken S handshake.
Low class team with a low class leader.
He Or the university needs to be disciplined for his behavior throughout the game, and after. If we want our players to act respectfully, why do universities put up with coaches yelling, swearing, and acting like babies on the sidelines. They make millions of dollars and need to control themselves or be punished, hard! They are role models for their team.
Narduzzi is famous for his temper tantrums and hissy fits early in his career. Don’t be a hypocrite saying Georgia Tech should discipline their coach when Pitt didn’t discipline Narduzzi for his temper tantrums and hissy fits.
And as far as coaches and players being role models for their team. Yea, that went out the window years ago.
Maybe he thought his team was good enough with all the Pitt players opting out. NOT.
Looked like Tom Brady after getting his ass handed to him by Eli or Foles…
I thought he was angry with the officials and in no mood to make nice with Narduzzi after the game. Meh, I wouldn’t be offended about this.
