Pitt Offers 6-foot-10 2022 N.C. Center Brandon White

On Monday afternoon, Pitt offered another 2022 prospect, this time being a big man from Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Brandon White is a 6-foot-10, four-star prospect who plays his high school ball for Winston Salem Christian School. Also known as “Giant Bean,” White already possesses the length and size to compete down low in the ACC.  He is currently ranked as the No. 117 overall player, No. 15 center, and No. 2 player in North Carolina according to the 247 Sports Composite. Among White’s greatest attributes is his excellent shot-blocking ability, which comes naturally to the big man.

White also excels around the rim with the ball in his hands, and plays a very physical style of play. The junior prospect fits in well in the low-post, where he has been known to pass out of it or execute post moves with his strong footwork and frame.

He currently holds offers from Charlotte, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Houston, Maryland, and now Pitt.

After freshman center John Hugley was suspended indefinitely from the team, Pitt is certainly interested in adding another talented big man this offseason. While it is unknown whether or not White will potentially reclassify to 2021 at the moment, Pittsburgh Sports Now is scheduled to catch up with White later on Monday to further discuss that option as well as his recruitment and relationships with the Pitt staff.
