Jeff Capel Comments On Addition Of Oakland Transfer Dan Oladapo

It’s been a productive 48 hours for Jeff Capel and his basketball program, as they picked up two commitments from players that will bring not only skill but toughness to the team.
The addition of the first of these players became official as Capel publicly commented on 6’7″ forward Dan Oladapo, formerly of Oakland University. Last seasons, Oladapo started all 30 games and averaged 12.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, while shooting 56.9% from the field and recorded nine double-doubles. In conference play, the Maryland native averaged 15.1 points, 10.3 rebounds, while shooting 61.5% from the field.
“Dan is a rugged forward who plays with energy, passion and aggression,” said Capel. “He has proven to be an outstanding rebounder on both ends of the floor and is an efficient offensive player. He makes winnings plays and is easy to play with. We are excited to add him to our current roster and look forward to helping further develop his game here at Pitt.”
Oladapo will have two seasons of athletic eligibility with the Panthers.
